Service Description

Maria Qamar, born in 1991 and also known as Hatecopy, is a Pakistani-Canadian artist celebrated for her satirical pop art that reflects the blending of South Asian and Canadian cultures. Influenced by figures like Roy Lichtenstein and Indian soap operas, her art employs a satirical perspective to address the complexities of her experiences, through a vibrant pop art aesthetic. Today, artists will create pop-style self-portraits and comic strips, incorporating observational and funny quips about some of the moments in their lives that can be seen through a satirical lens. They are going to love laughing about their creation! Please pack a lunch and snacks as we will be taking several brain-breaks throughout the day.
